What products do you use when you come over and clean?
We offer 2 options:

We can use your products.  We find that our clients are most comfortable with products they have selected.  Please see the list below for what is required.

Clean My Space will purchase products on your behalf, and charge you our cost plus $20+ GST carrier fee.  Our busier clientele prefers this method.

What products should I have handy?
We are all for greening your cleaning! For a proper cleaning, you will need each type of product listed below.  You should research products based on your unique needs and preferences (i.e. eco-friendly). Our favourite brands and products are available in our print ready Handy Product Checklist

We support eco-friendly brands and are especially fond of Attitude cleaning products, a fantastic brand out of Quebec (it is 100% Canadian) and is by far the best, most natural cleaning line we have come across. These aromatherapy-scented products are available at Dominion. For more information about Attitude, please visit www.cleanattitude.com

What is a Home Maintenance Manager?
Home Maintenance Managers, or HMMs, are the professionals who come into your home and provide quality cleaning services for you.  We make our best efforts to send the same HMMs each time.  However, we keep detailed information about the preferences of each client and are able to transfer that information to another HMM if necessary.

How many Home Maintenance Managers will come over?
Depending on the job and the size of your space, we will either send one or a team of two HMMs to clean. 

Are you bonded and insured?
Yes.  further information can be provided if necessary.

Why choose a Home Maintenance Manager?
Our Home Maintenance Managers are experienced, trained, careful, reliable, honest, and in great shape.  We are professionals!  Management goes through a meticulous hiring process which involves reference and credibility checks, training, and bonding and insurance protection.   HMMs know how to use products properly so that we don't ruin any surfaces.  Moreover, HMMs know how to work with the elements and fixtures unique to condos and apartments and know our unique cleaning methods to ensure efficient cleaning.

What's your guarantee?
We have a stellar track record; however, if you are dissatisfied with your cleaning you are given a 24 hour period to contact us and have that particular area re-cleaned at no cost to you.  A note will also be made on your file so that we know to pay particular attention to it next time..

Will the first cleaning take longer?
In order to bring your space up to Clean My Space Standards, the first cleaning (or an occasional cleaning) will take longer so that we can give your home that deep cleaning it needs. Suites that have not been cleaned in a while or suites with pets will take longer than a regular suite to clean initially.

I've got a pet, are you ok with that?
Sure, we can handle pets!  We expect that pets will be properly cared for by you, and ask that you keep them out of the HMMs' way to ensure we can clean properly.  Please understand that we do not take responsibility for your pets while cleaning (feeding, walking, changing litter).  Please note that suites with pets do take longer to clean and that will be reflected in the price .

How does payment work?
Payment is made on or before the day of the cleaning.  Our preferred method is credit card payment via our secure online e-invoices using PayPal or via Interac Email money transfers.  Regretfully, Clean My Space does not accept cash. 

Is GST charged?
Yes, 5% GST will be added to your invoice, applicable for all of our services. 

Do you clean windows or steam clean carpets?
These and other specific projects are either done as a custom project or outsourced to our network of professionals.  Just ask us!

Do you change linens?
If you leave fresh linens on the bed, we will change them.  Beds will be made regardless of linen changes.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?
We understand that schedules may change and that flexibility is required.  We require a 24 hour notice for cancellation – voicemail is acceptable and all phone messages are time stamped for accuracy.  In the event that the cancellation notice has not been provided, we levy a $30 lockout charge.

Junko is a talented woman; she runs an art studio out of her suite and produces gorgeous pieces of work. Her one bedroom studio in the Distillery not only houses her business and her bed, she also has 3 cats.

Her work demands a lot, and we are always able to accommodate her requests to clean up for open house parties or collection showings as well as generally keep her home clean and organized. Cat hair combined with hardwood floors equals quite a bit of maintenance! Junko started with us on a monthly basis and has now opted for weekly cleanings because she just loves the feeling of coming home to a clean place and keeping her home looking professional and welcoming for clients and friends.
